As we begin our planning for Faith Formation for next year, we are heartened by the promise of reduced Covid-19 restrictions in Massachusetts. At this time, we envision next year to allow us to gather more safely in person.
However, we have also experienced some surprising success with some of our remote learning options during Covid. Teen Alpha, for example, was much more accessible to many of our guests online.
Therefore we expect that most of our programs will fall somewhere in the hybrid area of combined in person and remote learning. Your program leader will keep you informed regarding when, how, and where your sessions will meet.
Our Apple Valley Catholic Faith Formation team is committed to forming disciples and to growing faith for all ages. Our goal is for every individual to encounter Jesus and to grow into a deeper personal relationship with Him. We rely on the Holy Spirit as our guide and inspiration to connect Faith, Scripture, and Sacrament in bringing meaning and purpose into our lives.
Our program is based on relational ministry using a variety of instructional models including in person and remote learning. We use small groups to engage learners and large groups to build community. We strive to provide hands-on, engaging, and relevant activities.
Our students don't just learn about faith. They practice it. Our teams use a wide variety of curriculum strategies to provide authentic opportunities to learn together, to pray together, to serve together, and to share faith questions in a safe, sacred space.
Faith Formation is offered to students in Grades K - 10. Sessions are offered with varied length and frequency appropriate to each age group.
Faith Formation Fees for 2021-22 are as follows:

Small Group Leaders Needed! We depend on many small group leaders to promote a culture of relational ministry and discipleship in our collaborative. We are looking for teens, young adults, and adults of all ages who are interested in being trained to co-lead our small groups.
If you would like more information about what it means to be a small group leader, simply check the volunteer box on the registration form. You will be contacted by one of our program directors to discuss volunteer opportunities that match your interests and experience.
We look forward to working with you and your children! Please contact us if you have any questions.
