Have you ever taken a virtual tour of a home before deciding to move in? It gives you a sense of what to expect—a preview that helps you decide if it’s the right fit.
On Friday August 15, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary a preview of what is to come for us. God gave us a glimpse of what He promises for each of us: that we too are destined for heaven, not just in soul, but one day in body and soul, like Mary.
Mary’s Assumption isn’t just about her reward—it’s about our hope. It reminds us that heaven is real, and that someone we love is already there. It calls us to trust, like Mary did, even when life is uncertain.
We spend so much time planning for vacations, careers, and retirement. Are we planning for heaven? Mary shows us how: by saying “yes” to God, day after day.
May her Assumption inspire us to live today with heaven in our hearts—and our eyes fixed on the One who leads us home.
