First, a heartfelt THANK YOU for your interest in volunteering. Vibrant communities like ours are only able to survive and thrive when people commit to helping one another and actively participating in the community. The Apple Valley Catholic Community and the Archdiocese of Boston take safety very seriously and have developed a robust volunteer screening program to protect the most vulnerable people among us.
Depending on your ministry, there are at least 2, if not 3 things you need to do in order to be an active volunteer with AVCC:
1) Volunteer Application - All volunteers in the archdiocese have to have completed a volunteer application. This is a one time application and may be completed digitally.

2) CORI - All volunteers must have a current (fiscal) year CORI form on file with us. New year CORI forms are available beginning July 1. This must be renewed every year.

3) VIRTUS (Protecting God’s Children) - The Archdiocese of Boston mandates that all staff and volunteers who minister directly to children or elders, or who have the potential for unmonitored access to children must be VIRTUS trained. More details and the schedule of upcoming VIRTUS trainings can be found at avcatholic.org
